Dear Members,
I am proud to announce that Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club was recently recertified as a designated Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses (ACSP), an Audubon International program.
Orchid Island became a member of the Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2005. Over the past six years, we have demonstrated and maintained a high degree of environmental quality in: Environmental Planning, Wildlife & Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use Reduction & Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.
This recognition is a testament to the Club’s dedication to the environment and the high-class standards put in place by our Club and team members.

With the weather getting warmer and the sun shining longer, Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club has planned a full schedule of events to ensure that you and your family will enjoy this wonderful time of year. Below are some of the club events we have planned:
- March 24 - March 26 - The 17th Annual Orchid Cup
- Orchid’s Crown Jewel Event, featuring three days of challenging golf competition.
- March 25 @ 11:00 am -Chef’s Cooking Demonstration & Luncheon at the Beach Club
- Trunk show to follow featuring Marge of Pepper Pike & Tunics by Stacey Netherton.
- March 26 @ 9:00 am - Pontoon Boat Ride
- Meet at the Environmental Learning Center for a scenic pontoon boat excursion, which will cruise past Pelican Island and the mangrove islands to spot pelicans, egrets, herons and kingfishers. The nature guide from the Environmental Learning Center makes it a fascinating event with eco-descriptions. $25pp, call 388-9291 to sign up.
- March 26 @ 6:00 pm – Orchid Cup Dinner Dance
- The event will include cocktails @ 6:00 pm followed by dinner at awards @ 7:00 pm.
